A barrage of patterns

So I went a little mad on ebay...okay I went bat shit crazy. I started looking for vintage patterns because every blogger I followed seemed to have a plethora of gorgeous vintage patterns. I got pattern envy and I started buying. Once the fog went away I didn't dare look to see how many I'd bought. Then they all arrived. One yesterday as I showed you, the rest today. 32 patterns.

Yes I said 32 patterns. I've bid on another lot. I need an intervention.

Some are gorgeous and I will definitely make use of them. Others...well...see for yourself.

There's really no explanation for this.

No date but such an 80s style. Definitely not a dress I will be marrying in.

I must admit to laughing myself silly at some of them. I'll post some of my favourites in the future. I think we all need time to adjust to those shoulders.

In other news my dad is giving me almost enough to buy a new machine outright. Huzzah! I shall have to add to it with my own money (if I have any left after the vintage pattern armageddon) but I'm really relieved that my wait for a new machine won't take as long as originally thought.

Of course I'm still not sure how long it will be but shorter than I thought is always a good thing.

Which reminds me, I'm a shopoholic with far too many clothes. Some I wear but there is a lot I don't. So I'm going to go through my wardrobe and drawers and be brutal. If I can't remember the last time I wore it I donate it to my local charity shop. I plan on sewing clothing for myself and I don't want them to get lost amongst a pile of clothing to never be worn. I also have stuff that doesn't fit anymore. I gained a stone in weight and have yet to lose it so my plan of holding on to stuff until it fits again is just daft. Wish me luck.

xoxo
